Welcome to
Ohio Metal Detecting!

Picture
I'm Nick A. and I am a metal detector hobbyist or "detectorist" in Central Ohio.  I have been metal detecting since getting my first real metal detector, a White's Classic II, in 1990, and currently use the Minelab Explorer SE and Minelab E-Trac detectors.

I am predominantly a "coinshooter" looking for old coins to add to my collection.  I mostly metal detect at old parks and schools, but enjoy detecting at old homes when I have the opportunity.

In this website you'll find stories of my experiences metal detecting, lots of opinions, and some good advice and questions answered as well as Ohio Metal De
tecting magazine.
