November 2010, a great month of detecting!

Just as the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, I have the best month of the year! Lots of firsts for me, and these are firsts in 20 years of detecting! Seated coin (dime), fatty Indian (1862), a Chinese cash coin, and a three ringer minie ball.

And on top of that, four large coppers, a two cent piece, 21 Indian heads, three shield nickels, two V nickels, five buffalo nickels - all with dates, 18 silver dimes, 1899 Barber quarter, four old
trade tokens, some silver rings, a Canadian large cent. One December find snuck into the pictures, and that's the small silver cross.

I'm a park hunter, and I'm still astounded all these things came out of the heavily hunted parks I have been searching for years. And to have found them all within the span of a month is just unreal.

Isn't metal detecting an amazing hobby! Just when you think a spot has dried up you end up finding all of that. That's exactly why I love it!
